What is block editor?
An editor where a document is a sequence of typed blocks — paragraph, heading, checklist, table, chart, code — rather than one continuous stream of text. Blocks can be inserted from a menu, transformed into other types and reordered independently.
Why block editor matters
Structure becomes cheap. In a stream editor, turning three sentences into a checklist is a formatting chore, so people do not bother and pages stay as walls of prose. When a block is one keystroke away, documents end up structured because structuring them was easier than not.
How Flocci Library handles it
Sixteen block types across Text, Lists, Data, Media and Code, all reachable from the slash menu, with a block-transform menu to convert an existing block and markdown shortcuts for people who type them by habit.
Flocci Library is a team wiki and knowledge base: spaces, nested page trees, a 16-block slash editor with tables and charts, @mention backlinks, threaded comments, AI drafting, public share links and org workspaces — one Flocci login across 30+ apps, priced in INR.
